The group will perform pieces such as Henry Fillmore "Americans We March" and John Philip Sousa "Stars and Stripes Forever." Paul Kosower and Chevrolairs will be appearing as a guest. A Corvette show and arts and crafts exhibition are also included.

Magazine honors local craftsman
Joel Ficke of Bloomer won the highest award as a traditional craftsman Directory this year's American and traditional craftsmanship has been featured in the latest issue of Early American Life magazine.
Reproduction furniture handcrafted Ficke was judged by experts and Commissioners of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, George Washington's Mount Vernon, Kent State University and the National Council of History Education, among others.
The issue of Early American Life with Ficke hit newsstands June 21.
Flyway Festival wins tourism funding
PEPIN - Stephanie Klett State Department of Tourism will be at the Lake Pepin Art & Design Center, Pepin at 3:30 pm Thursday, July 7 at the Film Festival to present the migration routes of a joint effort marketing or JEM grant.
After the presentation, the festival will unveil its 2011 poster featuring the artwork of renowned writer and Stockholm residents Gaylord Schanilec.
Flyway Film Festival will be held October 20 to 23 in Stockholm and Pepin and features independent films from across the country.

UW-EC opens the night improvisation Weekly
Office Activities UW-Eau Claire, involvement and leadership will open its "Playin 'in the Park" series at 19 pm Wednesday at the Bandshell Sarge Boyd Owen Park, along First Avenue.
The series features improvised short and long-form groups in the region, including the UW-EC Thinkers Society and the Memorial back in high school improvisation team.

"Best of" album releases Bethke
Local singer-songwriter and Promotion Music Records artist Brian Bethke will publish a "best of" record with a performance at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Café Acoustic, 505 S. Barstow St.
Bethke polled fans on Facebook to reach a list of tracks on the album that includes songs off her debut album, "Auberdeen", and follow-up EP, "The River.
