Man suspected of leaving bookstore devices charged

The FBI and U.S. attorney's office announced the charges Friday. They say 30-year-old David Lawless broke into a Borders bookstore last weekend and left three suspected explosive devices.

Authorities also say they're investigating another device found at a hotel on the same day.

According to an arrest affidavit, authorities are looking into an explosion and fire reported by guests at the Marriott Hotel a mile from the bookstore.

The FBI says that device has been sent to the FBI laboratory for analysis.

Lawless was arrested Saturday on charges of drunken driving and resisting arrest after an accident in Clear Creek County west of Denver. It's unknown if he has an attorney.
